Full day kindergarten for students at two Catholic Elementary schools in Belleville and Marmora could be coming in September, 2011.
The Director of Education with the Algonquin-Lakeshore School Board, Michael Schmitt, says the Committee of the Whole voted last night to submit the names to the Ministry of Education. Our Lady of Fatima will have two classes, and there will be one at Sacred Heart in Marmora.
Schmitt says only one school in Trenton will have full day kindergarten beginning in 2010, so the board wanted more classes in the immediate area as soon as possible.
