The lights came on a little later than expected and the phones are causing some problems…but, it’s the day hundreds have been waiting for in Quinte West. Chief Executive Officer of the new YMCA of the City of Quinte West Bob Gallagher says the doors opened at 6 o’clock this morning.
Construction on the 13-million dollar building took a little longer than anticipated but fitness and swimming enthusiasts are flocking to the new Y in droves today. There are 400 members and dozens more are signing up today.
