A conditional discharge and one year probation for a Cramahe Township Councillor, charged with assault.
Forty-year-old Timothy Gilligan Junior, who pled guilty to the charge earlier this year, was sentenced in Cobourg Court yesterday.
The charge was laid by Northumberland O-P-P last June after Gilligan poked a man in the mouth with a baseball bat after the victim threatened Gilligan’s father.
Gilligan will be back in court on July seventh to face new charges of assault and breach of conditions, laid by the O-P-P on April 26th.
