Belleville has a new three-year agreement with its 50-volunteer firefighters. The deal gives the firefighters about 250-dollars more a year…..the average volunteer earns about two-thousand- 900 dollars. The city has committed a lump sum of 145-thousand dollars by the third year, divided among the firefighters based on the number of emergency and training events they attend. The volunteer firefighters are members of the Christian Labour Association of Canada.
