Hastings County will have to rush its application to a new federal-provincial recreation facility funding program.
The deadline for municipalities to file paperwork with the Recreation Infrastructure Canada in Ontario program is next friday, but county council won’t discuss its options until it meets the day before.
Warden Ron Emond says he expects the county will ask for two-thirds funding for a 25-thousand-dollar recreation trail at Hastings Manor in Belleville.
