Unionized Liquor Control Board of Ontario employees in the Quinte Area and across the province are voting on possible strike action.
The workers, members of the Ontario Public Service Employees Union, began casting ballots yesterday on whether to give their negotiating team a strike mandate.
The results of the vote by seven-thousand L-C-B-O employees are expected on Saturday morning, and contract talks involving the employer and a conciliator will resume next tuesday.
A union member in Belleville wasn’t able to say how many L-C-B-O workers there are at the five outlets in Belleville, Trenton, Frankford and Rossmore.
