Two Cherry Valley men have been fined and given fishing licence suspensions for fishing out of season.
Fifty-two-year-old Lawrence Prettie, fined 27-hundred dollars, and his son, eighteen-year-old Bradley Prettie, fined 630 dollars, pleaded guilty in Picton court to bass fishing during a closed season.
Lawrence was given a two year fishing licence suspension, while Bradley’s licence was supended for one year.
Ministry of Natural Resources Conservation officers discovered 19 largemouth bass caught by the men at East Lake on April 25th, two months before the bass season begins.
