Some of the Quinte Area’s brightest young scientific minds have brought back some hardware from Western Canada.
5 students from local schools have just returned from the 2009 Canada-Wide science fair in Winnipeg and two of them have medals to show for it.
Albert College’s Emmanuelle Barube won a gold medal in the “Life Sciences” category with his project “Do you eat the red ones last?”…. while Moira Secondary’s a Green brought home two bronze medals in the earth and Environmental category.
Her project was on Hygroscopic Soil additives.
Michael Brogee from Stirling Senior Public also received an honourable mention.
