There will likely be a referendum question on the next municipal election ballot in Prince Edward County. Prince Edward County Council is asking it’s staff to come up with options for a referendum question on whether the number of councillors should be lowered from the current 15. Mayor Leo Finnegan says it’s important that the question put to the voters be a clear one. Meanwhile, should there be a referendum question, at least 50 percent of eligible voters would have to actually vote, before any changes could take place.
