Big plans in the works for Loyalist College and it’s training programs.
Loyalist has applied for funding from the federal and provincial governments for what will be known as a Sustainable Skills, Technology and Life Sciences Center. The 108 thousand square foot center would involve new construction and renovations of existing buildings. The estimated cost would be over 16 million dollars. Loyalist College President Maureen Piercy. If government funding comes soon, construction would begin this fall, with a completion date of December of next year. Loyalist would also embark on a local fund-raising campaign for equipment and furnishings.
