No jail time in the sentencing of two Prince Edward County men caught with 70-thousand dollars worth of stolen goods.
About 30 charges were laid by the O-P-P against 19-year-old Michael Penley and 20-year-old Philip Crowe after items taken from Brighton, Prince Edward and the Tyendinaga Reserve were found in a barn in the county in June, 2008.
Both men pled guilty in Picton provincial court yesterday to two counts of break, enter and theft and two counts of possession of stolen property. The other charges were dropped.
Penley and Crowe were given a six-month conditional sentence, including three months house arrest, and were ordered to pay 350 dollars restitution to one of their victims and to perform 120 hours community service.
