Upgrades to the Picton Arena and the Construction of the new Youth Skateboard Park in Picton will probably be submitted to a new federal-provincial program for funding.
Recreation, Parks and Culture Commissioner Barry Braun says both projects, worth about 1.2-millon dollars each, will be sent to County Council for discussion.
Council is expected to approve applying for funding from the Recreation Infrastructure Canada in Ontario program by the May 29th deadline.
The federal and Ontario governments would each pay 33.3 per cent of the cost, with the rest coming from the County.
