An engineer and experimental test pilot at C-F-B Trenton won’t be one of Canada’s two newest astronauts.
Mark McCullins, who lives in Brighton, was one of 16 people being considered for the honour, which went yesterday to Captain Jeremy Hansen and Doctor David Saint-Jacques.
They are the first new recruits since 1992, and will train at the Canadian Space Agency Headquarters this summer, before heading to NASA’s Johnson Space Centre in Houston in August.
McCullins had made the final 16 cut earlier this year out of 5,351 applicants across Canada.
