While one department for the city of Quinte West has shrunk recently, another one will be beefed up. Chair of Quinte West’s Public Works Committee, says they’ll be interviewing for a water compliance technician to keep up with the more rigorous standards and regulations governing drinking water. Also, Quinte West is working to fill a vacancy in the water manager’s position. 4 staffers in the Community Leisure department lost their jobs recently, following a consultant’s report on department re organization.
