The 21-member Quinte area Water Source Protection Committee is moving its study into another phase.
It’s a major study of eleven sources of municipal drinking water . Project manager Keith Taylor says the study is looking at the most vulnerable areas around municipal intakes and municipal wells. Some mapping has already been done and Taylor says its important to see where the ground and surface water moves. Seven public meetngs will be held in May and June…the first one in Tweed next Tuesday. …one in Belleville June 9-th.
