Residents in the area of Belleville General Hospital should soon get “some” relief from on-street parking in their neighbourhood.
People living in the B-G-H neighbourhood have been demanding for years that something be done about the number of parked vehicles on their streets, and particularly since the ongoing construction. City council has come up with parking on one side only, with a few other rules. Administrator Steve Hyndman says there will be limitations on the time, and no all-day parking. Hyndman says on-side of the street parking will also help ensure emergency vehicles are able to manoevre the streets in winter.
