A Campbellford chocolate company hopes the Kawartha-Pine Ridge School Board won’t phase out chocolate fundraising. The ban would be part of the board’s proposed nutrititon policy, which follows Ministry of Education guidelines, and recommends schools provide healthier menu items. World’s Finest Chocolate vice-president Ken Tully says using chocolate for fundraising is a success, generating up to a 53 per cent profit. The policy is in the community consultation period until next friday, and will go to the board next month for a final decision.
