Belleville’s delegation has returned from its official trip to twin city Gunpo Korea. Mayor Neil Ellis says it is a good way to keep possible economic opportunities open. Mayor Ellis says he met with the Korean consul-general before leaving on the trip last week. He says all South Korean business oopportunites are funneled through that office in Toronto. After the trip a couple of years ago, a Korean company considered locating here but the city didn’t have enough industrial land available. It is now in the process of expropriating more land.
