Employees at hospitals in Trenton and Campbellford are scrubbing up a lot more than their provincial counterparts. The Health Ministry conducted hand hygiene audits over the past year, and found staff in Trenton washed their hands almost 82 per cent of the time. The Ontario mark is only 62 per cent. Campbellford Memorial hospital employees remembered the soap 90 per cent of the time. The hospital in Bracebridge has some work to do, with only 29 per cent of staff remembering to wash their hands.
