The company known as “Canada’s boneless ham processor” has lost its factory in Wellington.
Midtown Meats caught fire by accidental causes yesterday afternoon (SAT) and nearly burnt to the ground.
Prince Edward County fire chief, Scott Manlowe, says most of the building is completely destroyed.
Fire crews have remained on the scene this morning to ensure the fire is completely out.
Manlowe says the company employs about 140 people.
