The beginning of the camping season at two popular provincial parks in the Quinte Area is just around the corner.
Sandbanks and Presqu’ile will be opening some of their campgrounds next Friday.
Presqu’ile Superintendent Tom Mates says one improvement made over the winter there is the addition of 42 sites with electricity, increasing the number of 140.
The campgrounds opening at Sandbanks and Presqu’ile on friday will stay open until Thanksgiving weekend, but the other park campgrounds won’t be available on a permanent basis until mid-June.
