A provincial supervisor has officially taken control of financially troubled Quinte Health Care and its four hospitals.
Former deputy Ministerof Health, Graham Scott, started work today at Q-H-C in Belleville. Chair of the Local Health Integraton Network, Georgina Thompson, says the supervisor now has all the powers, but will meet with the board. Thompson says he will decide if members stay in place or if new people will be put on the board. She says the same will occur with the Q-H-C officers. Scott had the same job last year at the financially troubled Kingston General Hospital.
