A young speeder stopped near Plainfield is without a car for Easter.
Belleville Police say the 22-year-old Quinte West man was stopped yesterday afternoon on Hwy 37 near Zion Road.
Police say the vehicle was travelling 138 kilometres per hour in an 80 zone.
Because the amount was more than 50 kilometres over the legal limit, the driver’s license was suspended for seven days and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
The driver will appear in court in May.
