The strike will continue by school bus drivers working for Stock Transportation, serving the Kingston and Napanee area.
A spokesperson for Stock says the Teamsters Union continue to ask for wage increases the company cannot afford. Apparently, the union asked yesterday for an 11 percent increase in the first year of a 3 year contract.
No further negotiations are planned. Meanwhile, a very small breakthrough did occur during negotiations yesterday. A tentative agreement has been reached with 3 mechanics working for Stock Transportation. The trio will vote on the pact tomorrow(today)
