Occasional teachers with the Hastings-Prince Edward School Board have a new four year contract.
It gives the elementary teachers two-percent in the first year, five-and a-half percent in the second year, and three-percent in each of the last two years. The board and teachers have both ratified the deal. The contract, retroactive to September, 2008, also includes an increase in professional development funds. The teachers are members of the Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario.
