There’s some good news out of Ottawa, and it means double-the-money for a number of Quinte area municipalities.
The federal government has announced that the federal gas tax rebate will double this year…and the money will begin to flow this week, rather than in September. This move is part of Ottawa’s “stimulus package.” Quinte West will get two-point-six million dollars… Prince Edward County one-point-six million … Brighton 307-thousand… and Trenton Hills 408-thousand-406 dollars.
