Having trouble quitting smoking??? The Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge Health Unit is offering a new program.
Under the “choose to be..smoke free” program, a registered nurse will offer one on one counselling to those chosen to participate. The Health Unit will be focussing the program on pregnant mothers, new mothers, and those living with chronic disease, but anyone is welcome to apply.
Manager of Chronic Disease, Anne Marie Cyr, says one on one counselling is effective.
You can apply for the program by calling the Campbellford or Brighton offices of the Health Unit.
