An official with the Toronto company planning several new stores in Brighton is pleased with the public’s response to the idea.
Craft Development’s proposal for Elizabeth Street was the subject of two open houses at the Municipal Office yesterday.
Craft official Carmen Nigro (Negro) says most of the people who spoke to are in favour of the project because of the jobs it’s going to create. He says Craft still has an application before the Ontario Municipal Board to, in his words, move the process forward, and hopes for a hearing in July.
A public meeting will be held by Brighton Council next Monday evening to consider Official plan and zoning bylaw amendments for the property.
