Central Hastings O-P-P say a 27-year-old man is fortunate to be alive after crashing his vehicle north of Madoc. Jesse Chapman of Cooper was airlifted to Kingston General Hospital late yesterday afternoon after a Jeep product smashed into a telephone pole on Cooper Road. Emergency officials believed his cuts and bruises were very serious, but Chapman was released from K-G-H last night. Police are still investigating, and there is no information yet on charges.
