C-N Rail has filed suit against Shawn Brant and two other aboriginal activists for disrupting train traffic during a series of blockades in 2007. C-N alleges the blockades intimidated employees, dislocated rail traffic, precipitated layoffs and caused “significant economic damages.” Brant says C-N’s legal action won’t dampen protests over the company’s use of aboriginal land. The defendants have filed a 10 million dollar countersuit, alleging C-N trespassed and caused noise, water and air pollution.
