A description has been release of the suspect in yesterday’s bank robbery in Belleville.
City Police say a man between 20 and 30 walked into the Bank of Nova Scotia at the Price Chopper Plaza at four o’clock, said “this is a robbery,” and demanded money from one of the tellers. No weapon was seen, even though he acted like he had one, and the suspect was last observed walking toward North Front Street.
The man is five-foot-six to five-foot-ten, weighs 160 to 200 pounds, has short bleached blonde hair, a pale complexion and one or two days facial hair growth. He was wearing a red ball cap with white lettering, silver mirrored sunglasses, a red and black jacket, blue jeans and a black t-shirt.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Detective-Constable Mark Harry at the Belleville Police Service.
