The Algonquin-Lakeshore Catholic School board is trying to help parents forced to take their children to school because of the Stock Transportation bus drivers strike.
Director of Education Michael Schmidt says supervision is available at each of the 18 affected schools in the Napanee and Kingston areas half an hour before classes start, and for 30 minutes at the end of the day.
He is also suggesting parents consider car-pooling.
Schmidt says his board and the Limestone School board will have to consider the effect of the strike on student attendance if it lasts for a long time.
