Belleville police say they interrupted what appeared to be a gang fight just after 2:00 this morning.
An officer was checking on a suspicious person drinking alcohol in the Bridge St. West and Highland Avenue area and noticed a group of 5 males.
They were quickly pulling their shirts back on and placing items into a waiting car, while another group of 5 quickly dispersed the area on foot.
The officer called for back up and all people involved… including four females were identified and questioned by police.
Officers seized a mini-machete, an 8-inch serrated knife, and three baseball bats.
There were no injuries or complaints but police say none of the people involved were co-operative during the investigation
