The Quinte West Planning and Building Department doesn’t expect 2009 will be as busy as last year was.
The city received 508-thousand dollars in building permit fees in 2008, but it’s budgeting for only 365-thousand this year.
Planning Director Charlie Murphy told the Planning Advisory Committee meeting last night the downward trend is not a reflection of the poor economy, because the revenue will be in line with average years in Quinte West.
