Municipal taxes are going up by an average of two per cent in Tyendinaga Township.
Clerk-Treasurer Steve Mercer says council approved a 4.7-million-dollar budget last night, including the one-million-dollar Wyman’s Road bridge reconstruction.
Mercer says the two per cent increase will result in an extra 20 dollars on the municipal porton of the property tax bill, although some people will pay more or less than that, depending on their new property assessment.
