The drivers and mechanics with a local school bus company are in a legal strike position today.
Stock Transportation and the Teamsters Union, local 91 which represents the 150 workers, are meeting to try to avoid a strike.
Teamsters says the staff were offered no salary increase over three years, and is advising parents they may have to find alternate transportation for their children after the March break.
Stock Transportation is part of the Triboard transportation services. Stock buses serve the Kingston/Napanee area, so a strike would not effect the majority of people in the Quinte region.
