Stirling-Rawdon Police are warning of an internet scam making the rounds in Quinte. Emails that appear to be from the Canada Revenue Agency have been circulating advising that a recipieent is due to recieve a refund. The victim is then asked to provide social insurance particulars that will enable the suspects to steal your identity. The police say Canada Revenue Agency doesn’t conduct business via the internet.
