It’s been a busy overnight for Belleville Police. A 23 year old Belleville man was stopped for speeding, last night, in the City’s west end and a check revealed his driver’s licence was under suspension. A further check revealed that there was a warrant for his arrest by the Belleville Police Service for Theft and a search revealed a small amount of marijuana.
Police responded to Heroes in relation to a young man that needed medical attention from a fight. He was transported to BGH by paramedics and the investigation is ongoing. Officers also observed a disturbance outside of the Cabaret. A 20 year old Belleville woman was arrested for public intoxication. and, officers later attended the parking lot at Matt & Joe’s for a fight. The crowd dispersed with incident.
and, at 2:20 this morning, an Officer was flagged down by a man who was looking for a place for the night. A check revealed that there were warrants for his arrest for Theft and Failing to Appear in Court. The 18 year old Belleville man was held for a bail hearing.
