Things may finally be moving ahead for Baymount. The company which plans to build a racetrack, slot parlour and hotel on Bell Boulevard in Belleville released a financial update yesterday indicating it has entered into a memorandum of understanding with a major hotel chain to develop a hotel and waterpark at the west-end site. Pacrim Hospitality Services owns 57 hotels, many Super 8 and Holiday Inn EXpress, across Canada and the U-S. The project has been stalled at the starting gates for three years because of financial shortfalls.
