More and more people are getting off welfare and into the work force through a program run by the joint Hastings-Quinte Social Services department.
Last month a total of 90-people found work through Employment Connection. Deputy director of social services, Steve Gatward, says 20-of those positions were at Teletech, and another 12-jobs were at Shelin Pools. Just over three-thousand people were on welfare in the Hastings-Quinte area as of the end January.
