A local public elementary school principal thinks the possible move of Grade seven and eight students to the Catholic secondary school in Trenton would work.
Steve Toffelmire of Bayside Public made his comments at a public meeting Tuesday night hearing the recommendations of the Quinte West Accomodation Review Committee.
He says students from those two grades at Bayside Public feel welcome when they take some of their classes at Bayside Secondary.
The committee has recommended building a new Saint Peter’s School, making it and Saint Mary’s junior kindergarten to Grade six schools, with grade seven and eight students going to Saint Paul’s Secondary.
