The search for a new Chief of Police in Belleville continues. Police Board Chair Bob Dolan says they’re in the midst of conducting interviews…with four more scheduled to take place tomorrow and another three set for the middle of next week. Dolan says he’d prefer to have the new Chief named by the end of March…but, adds it’ll be up to the Board on whether a second round of interviews is necessary. The position became vacant when Chief Steve Tanner bolted to take the Chief’s job in Kingston in November. Deputy Brian Harder has been serving as Acting Chief.
