A neighbour of a proposed five-cottage development on East Lake in Prince Edward County may appeal provincial approval of the project. Ontario Municipal Board member Mary-Anne Sills decided after a hearing in Picton yesterday Shore Club Holdings should be given special tourism commercial zoning for land on County Road 18. The neighbour, Dwayne Miller says he will be able to keep livestock in his 39-hundred square foot barn, but he’s concerned about being able to use two other barns along the road. He will discuss a possible appeal of the ruling with the Friends of East Lake group, which opposed the project, saying development wasn’t appropriate on that section of the lake. Miller says farmers in Prince Edward County will be doomed if large developers are allowed to continue building.
