There was over 32 million dollars of infrastructure funding announced for Prince Edward Hastings riding today(yesterday).
The various project’s cost will be shared equally between the Federal, Provincial, and Municipal government’s.
Prince Edward County was the big winner, receiving about 8 million dollars on an 11.8 million dollar project, a new Wellington and District Community Center to replace the aging Dukedome.
Mayor Leo Finnegan was beaming, saying it was a great day for the County. Construction should begin in late spring.
