The coordinator of Quinte Access will be loaded with statistics and letters of support at the next Quinte West City Council meeting.
The transit service, which runs 12 hours a day in Trenton from Monday to Friday, is asking for a six-month extension of the pilot project it began last September.
Coordinator Pat Sutherland says there was a bit of a decrease in passengers during the severe weather in January and this month, but the numbers are still averaging 500 a week.. She says Quinte Access has received a lot of letters from people who had difficulty getting around Trenton before the service started.
Quinte West Council will consider the Quinte Access request next Tuesday.
