The long-awaited patient registry is up and running in Quinte and right across the province. Head of the Southeast LHIN Paul Huras says Premier McGuinty launched the program today and is encouraging local residents to call the 1-800 number to access a family doctor. and, he hopes the process will move along quickly. Huras says people in the greatest need will be matched with a doctor first. The number to call to register is 1-800-445-1822. Huras was accompanied by Belleville physician Dr. Jonathan Kerr and a Doctor from the Kingston area.
