MPP Lou Rinaldi warned the huge crowd at THS that the province is in dire financial straits…and stands to lose 10-to-15 billion dollars in the coming months. He says if the province has the 2.1 percent increase in funding for local hospitals he’d be surprised adding the funding shortfall at the provincial level will make it difficult to continue financial support for numeorus programs…not just healthcare. Experts say even the 2.1 percent funding increase isn’t enough to maintain the current costs of providing medical care.
