The Quinte area and other parts of Eastern Ontario are creating jobs, unlike most of the rest of the province.

Almost 216-thousand people had jobs in January, 32-hundred more than a year earlier.
Ontario’s unemployment rate jumped by 1.2 per cent to 7.2 per cent last month, and 6.6-million people were working, a drop of 14-thousand from January, 2008.
