Hundreds of people packed the High School in Picton for the latest public meeting into Quinte Healthcare options on reducing debt…and, hundreds more were turned away by the Fire Marshall. The highlight occured when Councillor Ray Best asked for the resignation of QHC President Bruce Laughton. Some residents say they’ve lost trust in QHC and want to go on their own as a stand alone hospital. Laughton responded by saying those who want to see the Picton hospital disband must take the issue up with the province.
