The silent killer almost claimed the lives of a large family in Thurlow overnight. Paramedics, Police and Firefighters were called to a home on Thrasher Road, at 1 o’clock this morning, where a family of ten was evacuated. The two adults and eight children were transported to Belleville General Hospital for treatment of suspected carbon monoxide poisoning. It’s believed a venting failure on a heater led to to the problem.
